I hadn't realised that some features of Advent - altho it stands entirely on its own as currently constituted - make it possible for the book to take its place as the first in a series. Accordingly, I'm now thinking in terms of adapting the novel I’m working on now to dovetail into Advent, and then develop a third - be a good long term coherent project, a trilogy in fact.
Another idea he came up with was podcast. Something I'd love to pursue but it’s really a matter of time available. I’m on the wrong side of 65 with, it seems, two more novels to write before I get too decrepit, so the podcasting is something I’ll have to postpone for now - as I foresee it as quite a laborious, very time consuming, business to do oneself. Which I would have to, as a professional job starts around £2,000 - a figure I just know I'd never be able to afford! Must say I'm tempted tho - to have a go myself, in fact I downloaded Audacity and had a little whirl with that, but it's just too distracting, altogether too much fun, in fact - and I could see months disappearing as I strove to do Advent in audio even semi-decently.
